How Discordfinder checks invites, uptime and activity
A look under the hood: what our bot reads, what it never stores, and how the health score is built.
Invite checks
Every listing's invite is requested from Discord's API every 15 minutes with a small stagger. Invalid or expired invites mark the listing as invite broken: it disappears from results and the owner gets a DM with a fix link.
Activity pulse
Our bot counts messages per day, joins and leaves. It never stores message content. Messages/day maps to an activity level: low, medium, active, very active.
Sleeping rule
Zero messages for 30 days moves a server to sleeping. It stays listed at the bottom with a badge and wakes up the moment someone posts. No penalty.

Bots
Bots are pinged every 5 minutes from our monitoring server. Three or more outages in a week earns a Flaky badge; offline for more than 24 hours hides the bot.
